SPRING NEWSLETTER

Spring seems to have caught us unawares! We are conscious that we may still have cold and frosty spells, but definitely the lighter afternoons and mild weather are very welcome signs that better times are round the corner. We are busy looking at different seeds and bulbs and giving the garden a “Spring Clean”.

Staff news:

We would like to welcome Frances Reen to our Pre-school team.  Frances is an apprentice and will be following the Cache Level 3 course in Childcare with Hawk Training, who have been working with Cybertots for 4 years now, providing 1 to 1 tutoring up to level 4.

 

Sadly, Zsuzsanna is leaving to take up a post that will take advantage of the 26 years of Special Needs teaching experience that she has. We were very fortunate to have her with us while she was settling in to life in England, but the daily travelling to and from the Brixton area where she lives, is proving too much. We wish her well in her new post.

 

We are experiencing a bit of a “baby boom” with 3 babies due – Helen, Asia and Aida are all expecting arrivals in May and we are looking forward to visits from them during the fine summer months!

Nursery Term Dates and Closures:

End of Term is on Friday, 30th March

 

EASTER

Following our usual practice, we shall be taking staff annual leave during the four days following

Easter Bank Holiday Monday.

 

We shall therefore be closed on the following dates:

Friday      6th April  - CLOSED             Bank Holiday

Mon          9th April - CLOSED              Bank Holiday
Tues        10th April - CLOSED              Staff Holiday

Wed       11th April - CLOSED               Staff Holiday

Thurs      12th April - CLOSED              Staff Holiday

Friday     13th April - CLOSED              Staff Holiday

 

In addition

May Bank Holiday Monday May 7th and Jubilee Bank Holidays Mon & Tues 4th & 5th June CLOSED

Nursery opens for government funded children for the Summer Term on Monday, 23rd April. Term finishes on Friday 20th July.

Summer Half Term Holiday runs from Wednesday 6th – Friday 8th June.


A quick reminder!

Please remember to send your child with spare clothes in case of accidents and a warm woolly, as well as their coat, to wear inside the room while the doors are open. We do like to spend time outside every day, even in wet or windy weather, so do send a waterproof coat and a hat to keep the ears warm on those sort of days.

 

 

Parent / Teacher Meetings – look out for the forms and sign up for a convenient time to talk about your child with their key worker. This is, of course in addition to any chances you have on a daily basis to hear about the day’s activities.


REGULAR MONDAY MUSIC SESSIONS

The babies now have their own session on the last Monday of each month. All parents and friends with babies under 2 are welcome to join us from 10.30am for half an hour.


DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Friday March 16th

Children’s “Open Morning” when they will serve their mothers with coffe and cakes that they have baked themselves – 9am to 12 noon

Thursday 29th

March EASTER PARTY come and join our Parade, with fun and games and Easter Egg Hunt. The party is from 3pm – 5pm and all parents and children are welcome!
